“This is one of the first projects I was able to see go into place! I remember it so well because my 2nd week working for Jim Plunkett he asked me the first of what would be many totally random questions!!

“Lee can you draw me a tulip?”

“Uh sure”

Knowing I had no chance of drawing him a damn tulip lol.

Inside the tower is an ornamental metal tulip that the tower highlighted by different lights/colors.

I could not imagine at that time, when I was asked to draw a tulip, how much I would love this industry!

I was fortunate to work on so many projects with JEI Structural Engineering and they were always amazing to work with! …. Even when I would respond almost every time with..

“Are you kidding me???? That much steel in the back member???”

“What?? 20 fasteners in a custom F clip??”

I am surprised Stewart Jeske, MS, P.E. and Matthew Quinlivan, P.E. would even answer my calls! But they were always great to work with.
