As this five-story, 134,000-square-foot medical facility rises in the Greensboro skyline, the project highlights the critical role of façade engineering, curtain wall systems, and high-performance glazing in modern healthcare construction.
JEI Structural supported the project with glass and curtain wall engineering services focused on constructability, system performance, and integration with the primary structure. Our work contributed to a building envelope designed to balance daylighting, thermal efficiency, durability, and long-term maintenance—key performance drivers for healthcare environments.
The exterior glazing and façade systems were engineered to support a facility that will deliver expanded specialty care, advanced surgical services, and leading cancer treatment and research, while meeting stringent healthcare standards for safety, resilience, and occupant comfort. Careful coordination between architectural intent, structural demands, and glazing system capabilities helped ensure the façade supports both clinical functionality and architectural presence.
As construction progresses, the project stands as an example of how curtain wall engineering and glazing design can elevate complex medical facilities—enhancing patient experience, supporting clinical operations, and delivering long-term value to the Greensboro community.
